In 1998 whilst in New York, at 'The Grammies', to receive his 'Lifetime Achievement' award, Rupert Neve noticed that the PA company, Clair Brothers, handled the entire front of house requirements, using just two AMEK Recall consoles.
RECALL-RN centre section Impressed with how smoothly the show ran, and how well the consoles coped with all the quick changes, Rupert began discussions with Amek to design a new module for the console. Given the worldwide success of the rack mount 9098EQ, and it's acceptance in the live arena, this seemed a logical starting point for the new RECALL RN input module.
The improved features the RN input module have over the Recall RL1 module include :- INPUT: The Rupert Neve mic amp is controlled by a 12 way rotary switch with a range of 0 to +66dB, and a separate trim control with a range of +/- 6dB. FILTERS: Filters to S/C puts the filters into the Virtual Dynamics side chain. Hi Pass filter continuously variable between 2kHz and 30kHz @ 12dB per octave. Lo Pass filter continuously variable between 25Hz and 500Hz @ 12 dB per octave. EQ : All Cut/Boost at +/- 18dB, EQ in/out switch, HF continuously variable 2kHz to 20kHz - Bell/Shelf switch, HMF variable 500Hz to 4.5kHz - variable Q, LMF variable 100Hz to 1kHz - variable Q, LF variable 30Hz to 300Hz - Bell/Shelf switch. AUX SENDS: Mon Source - changes Aux 11/12 into a monitor and converts it to a level and pan arrangement. The input sources now a separate monitor input connector or optionally a channel pre/post fader. |
