In addition to complete compatibility with GM and XG, the NX5Rsupports sound maps for GS and the KORG Super-series (X5 tone generatorsound map).* Flexible Sound CreationAI2 generator is fully programmable, with a large12 Mbyte PCM wave memoryROM to draw from. Its RAM area allows you to store 128 sound programs and128 combinations of your own creation. It provides 676 normal voices(programs) and 21 drum kits which can consist of either 480 voices and11 drum kits in XG mode, or 579 voices and 10 drum kits in TG300B mode(compatible with GM System Level 1). This allows the XG tone generator tofunction as a 16-part multi-timbral tone generator with 32-note polyphony.By using the AI2 tone generator and the XG tone generator together, you havea 48-part multi-timbral tone generator with 96-note polyphony!* Control & ConnectThe NX5R's 144 x 40 dual-color (amber/yellow-green), backlit full-graphiccustom LCD is easy to see in all environments. A 3D level meter lets youmonitor all 48 parts at a glance. The graphic display makes serious soundediting a breeze. The rotary encoder and cursor key switches provide logicaland intuitive operation. The on-board computer interface makes it possibleto connect the NX5R directly to a Macintosh or PC-compatible using a singlecable (optional AG-001/AG-002). Plus, Line-in jacks allow the sounds ofother instruments to be output together with the NX5R.
